1 of Sykehjemsetatens [the Agency for Nursing Homes’] institutions, Silurveien sykehjem [Silurveien Nursing Home], produces dinner food that must be delivered to other institutions. The dinner is produced according to the cook/cooling method, packaged in food boxes and stored cooled before transportation. The food must be transported to different institutions, a total of 30 delivery locations per day. Each institution receives food 2 times per week. At the receiving site, the food must be places in a designated refrigerated location. Before serving, the food is warmed up in heating unit by the institution staff, and in this manner, the nutirition of the food is well safeguarded and the food obtains the correct temperature during both freight and preparation.
