The Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Finland invites economic operators to ex-press their interest to participate in the procurement of renovation works con-tract, in ground floor of Avenue de Cortenbergh 80 building.

The Ministry is searching for principal contractor to carry out the construction activities in the permanent representation of Finland to EU. The work conduct-ed in this renovation is situated mainly on the ground floor and the courtyard. The area of changes in the interior is app. 450 m2 and the area of changes in the courtyard is app. 150 m2.

The dimensions and quality of the lobby and office premises are normal and standard office level. The premises in the ground floor are mainly the entrance lobby, guard office, consular service and meeting rooms. The guard office and consular services will be security-classified and consist of reinforced structures.

Plans, drawings and documents are prepared in English and the working lan-guage of the project is English.

The contractor will be responsible for all the works, including mechanical works, and materials. The renovation works involves, for example, the following construction activities:
- Protecting the remaining structures and surfaces
- Demolition works and trash removals
- Removal of partitions, floors and ceiling and construction of new ones
- Painting works
- Installing fixed furniture and accessories
- Removal and adjusting existing and assembling new HVAC and plumbing works
- Removal and adjusting existing and assembling new Electrical works
- Fixing and improving existing structures (like reinforcements, soundproof-ing, etc.)

Construction activities are described in more detail in Architectural, HVAC & Plumbing and Electrical specifications, plans and drawings. These will be deliv-ered to preselected candidates within Invitation to Tender material.

The Ministry keeps right to source and deliver some of the security related ma-terials to the construction site, and the contractor shall have a responsibility to store, install and temporarily protect them. Those materials could be for exam-ple the guard and consular offices security doors and/or pass-through drawers.
