Avinor intends to enter into a contract with MSG Aviation AS (‘MSG’) to lease out an area west of the current de-ice platform Bravo Nord at Oslo Airport Gardermoen (OSL). MSG will use the area to establish a pilot facility for de-icing, plane washing, engine washing and inspection of planes at OSL. The pilot facility will test new technology and procedures for implementation of de-icing and the other services, and differs from traditional de-icing methods currently used at OSL and other airports. MSG’ purpose with the pilot facility is to test technical, operative and commercial conditions related to establishment and operation of such a facility under realistic operational conditions at a large airport. As part of the pilot project, MSG will offer use of the facility to buyers for a fee as part of the commercial trialling of the concept.
