On behalf of Finnish Clinical Biobank Tampere (FCBT), Tuomi Logistiikka Oy is requesting tenders for DNA extraction services. Finnish Clinical Biobank Tampere (FCBT) aims to develop new forms of treatment and to promote health through biomedical, clinical and health science research. Clinical samples collected by FCBT are used in biomedical, clinical and translational research. FCBT collects and stores samples mainly from patients in Pirkanmaa Hospital District. Samples can be used in research related to promotion of health and prevention of diseases worldwide. The biobank enables the combination of smaller sample collections to larger collections as larger collections are more easily and efficiently available for researchers. The blood samples collected by FCBT will be genotyped by the ongoing FinnGen project. For this genotyping purposes there is a need to extract high-quality DNA from the collected samples. Estimated minimum amount of samples is 10,000 during years 2019-2023. Total number of the samples may, however, be increased during the project.
