Short description
The existing main fire station at Hammersborg will be acquired by Statsbygg for the development of the new government quarter. A concept choice review from 27.7.2015 recommends the establishment of a new main fire station in Bryn that functions better, and is more flexible and efficient, on the same site of the current Bryn fire station. An important consideration will be to facilitate for the colocation, rationalisation and reorganisation of the Fire and Rescue Department's (BRE) internal functions.
The concept choice review points out that the Agency for Water and Sewage (VAV) is planning the development of its property, which is directly connected to Bryn fire station. VAV would like to co-locate more of its activities, which are currently split between the operations station on the neighbouring plot in Bryn and the administration in rented premises in Herslebs gate.
