Short description

The aim of the purchase of the equipment is to have a large device for teaching cultivation techniques of vertical farming and be able to do experiments of soil-less cultivation. Another important issue is to demonstrate the cultivation techniques of vertical farming for the professional growers and to some extent, the hobby sector. Thus, the equipment supplier will get publicity for the equipment at the Lepaa location, which is main campus for professional teaching of horticulture in Finland. The yearly professional fair for the horticultural industry in mid-August is meeting place for some 8,000 visitors. During the time of Lepaa exhibition, the vertical farming container can act as a stand for the container supplier in the exhibition area and there will not be any charging for container stand in 3 years. Any more space than the container itself is not included in the deal. Additional space and other deals must be negotiated with the fair organization, the Finnish Glasshouse Growers Association. HAMK University of Applied Sciences has allocated 60.000 euros for the equipment investment for the vertical farming. This is the limited sum, that the university have for this project and which we are bound to follow. If you do not have a requested product, you can offer an alternative product, but it needs to fulfill the necessary requirements mentioned in this document and in the final call for tenders.
