Solavåg:
The existing quay, berth and bridge are in poor condition and are not able to be used by new vessels with electric operation. We have chosen to build a new, slightly angled quay next to the old quay. The west berth at the old quay is used as the primary quay during the construction period, although this is problematic during certain wind directions. It must be anticipated that the Ferry will be cancelled due to poor weather. The Construction will have little impact on land areas. After completion, the old quay will be demolished and the new west berth shall be built. Demolition and the new west berth is included as an option. This shall primarily be used as a spare quay / reserve quay.
Festøy:
The existing concrete structure at B-quay is in poor condition. Everything concrete must be demolished and replaced by new construction. The ferry operation shall take place from A-quay both during the installation period and future. B-quay will be a lying quay / reserve quay. There is an option for further extension of the pier.
