Orkdal, Meldal, Agdenes, and Snillfjord municipalities are neighboring municipalities in Trøndelag. The municipalities are cooperating closely and from 1st Januar 2020, Orkdal, Meldal, Agdenes, and parts of Snillfjord shall merge into one municipality.
The new municipality shall be named Orkland municipality. After the merge, the municipality will have close to 20,000 inhabitants.
Orkland municipality wants to be future-oriented with focus on high standard services and an open administration culture.
The municipality requires a case and archive system that is in accordance with the Public archive act and at the same time safeguard the new rules for personal information protection.
