Rælingen municipality has more than 18 000 inhabitants and is situated in the central areas of Akershus County. The municipality does not have an own adult education service but is buying this service from an external partner. Since 2005 the Refugee and inclusion service in Rælingen municipality has had good results from the introduction programme.
Rælingen municipality shall enter into a contract for adult education services for the following areas:
— The Introduction programme,
— Norwegian and social subject,
— Primary and secondary schools,
— Special education of adult immigrants and refugees.
In 2017 the Introduction programme includes approx. 70 active students and approx. 20 students studying Norwegian and social subjects. The primary and secondary school programme includes approx. 15 students. There are no students with requirements for special education in 2017.
Rælingen municipality wants the adult education service for the Introduction programme, the Norwegian and social subjects and the primary and secondary school education to be located at the same location.
