In the 2017 — 2020 finance plan, Sandnes City Council has approved the construction of a swimming pool at Iglemyr in Sandnes kommune. In the approved budget, 233 000 000 NOK has been set aside as investment funds for the project, including i.a. Site and engineering design costs and VAT. The swimming pool is approx. 5 400 m2 and shall contain one main pool of 25 m x 21 m, 2 warm water pools, grandstand with seating for 250 and associated rooms. The outdoor area shall be developed in accordance with the outdoor plan and the plan for municipal engineering installations. The implementation model for the project is an execution contract organised as joint contracts, where all of the construction disciplines are combined in a main contract. The Builder has engaged their own Construction Manager to coordinate the contract. Ground works shall start in March 2018. The contractor shall have the capacity to complete their works in accordance with the contract so that the handover can take place at the latest by 27.1.2020 (completion deadline).
