Kongsgata is a part of the city dated back to the middle-ages and functions as one of the main traffic-lanes in to Stavanger center. The street is characterised by extensive use by buses in combination with unfavourable soil conditions. This has resulted in settings throughout the entire stretch. Kongsgata also makes up a part of the main cycle-routes in Stavanger, although the street is not particularly facilitated for bicycles.
Stavanger Kommune require a feasibility study to be used as an appendix to a usage-plan for Kongsgata. Plans and a verbal description shall be made. Stavanger Kommune will themselves formally process the usage-plan.
