CIGENE-IHA-NMBU wish to purchase a pipetting robot that must meet all of the following conditions: 1) The robot must be provided by a manufacturer approved by Affymetrix — ThermoScientific to perform the pipetting steps required for genotyping according to the Axiom protocol. 2) The robot must be able to perform steps in a specific custom program under development by Affymetrix — ThermoScientific and Beckman Coultier for CIGENE. The program will enable the simultaneous processing of 2 x 384-arrays through day 1-3 stages of the Axiom protocol. 3) From a technical perspective the robot must include a. a multi-channel 96 head with capacity up to 1000ul, b. a Span-8 pipetting head where each channel can be individually calibrated, c. an operational platform with 48 available positions. d. onboard cameras that can record operations during a run. 4) The offer must include all the costs (labor and parts) required for relocation and calibration (by a certified service technician) of 2 Beckman NX robots which currently occupy the space that the new robot will occupy.
