Short description

Through a framework agreement, the Danish Defence Acquisition and Logistics Organization (DALO) is planning to purchase the most economically advantageous container systems (Flatrack Workshops) for the Danish Defence.

The Flatrack Workshops are intended to be used for multiple tasks related to repairs of armored personnel carriers (APC), battle tanks, trucks and other military vehicles and equipment. The Flatrack Workshops shall be equipped with a heavy lifting system that can handle a powerpack from the main battle tank Leopard 2 (weight: 6 800 kg), and a dedicated space for appropriate spare parts, tools and components.

For each task the Flatrack Workshops will, in a modular concept, be fitted individually with the necessary tools and materiel intended for the vehicle/equipment. The concept is that each vehicle/equipment has a set of standardized cabinets, containing the intended tools and materiel for the particular variants. The change from one role to another shall be flexible and fast, i.e. by changing one or more cabinets, containing all the designated tools and materiel for each assignment.

The carrier for the Flatrack Workshops is a tactical truck fitted with a hook lift system. The Flatrack Workshops are to be used by maintenance teams, conducting light repairs, which will result in the containers' frequent loading and unloading from the carrier truck.

The Flatrack Workshops shall be self-supported with the necessary power (generator) and compressor as well as an independent hydraulic installation for the lifting capacity. The container system shall also be able to be supplied with power from external power sources.

The Flatrack Workshops are intended to be used across the different services in the Danish Defence both domestic and international and with short notice. The container systems are through their lifetime intended to be continuously moved to locations where needed and will be used both in training as well as in national and international operations.

The framework agreement includes service and training (including maintenance, modifications and training of personnel) and delivery of spare parts and inventory.

Under the framework agreement the buyer is obliged to purchase deliverables for an amount of at least 18 000 000 DKK within the first 2 years after commencement of the framework agreement. Beyond this, the buyer shall not be obliged to purchase any minimum quantity of deliverables.
