Short description

The deficiency of mapping exotic coniferous wood is an administrative challenge. A possible approach previously examined, is mapping by remote-measurements. The experience with such mapping is so far promising, but by using remote-measurements it is vital to create ground truths for improved distinguishing of the different types of wood Increased knowledge of this subject is therefore vital for organising a knowledge-based administration. The main objective of the project is to map the short-distance spreading of components in exotic coniferous wood in West Norway and North Norway, including identifying the nature types where spreading and establishment occur. The project shall also in a cost efficient manner, map the nearby occurrences of exotic coniferous wood which can function as ground truths.
