The contract includes engineering design, delivery, installation and commissioning of a complete sorting system for the New Deichmanske main library, as well as assistance in the form of presence during the initiation period. All of the details shall be approved by the engineering design group prior to the final production.
The system is expected to comprise of the following main elements:
a) A conveyer belt – transport connection between all of the elements in the system;
b) Handing in units for the general public — 5 units;
c) Handing in units for employees — 7-8 units;
d) Lifts — 6 levels;
e) Sorting fractions — 120-130 units;
f) Trolleys/boxes — 2 for each of the sorting fractions.
In the new library building approx. 3 000 000 visitors and approx. 2 000 0000 lending per annum are expected. It is estimated that the number of concurrent visitors to the building may amount to 1 500 people. At the opening of the library, the total physical media collection will amount approx. 500 000 units, including the physical types of media.
