The Danish police is using LiDAR speed detection devices to detect the speed of a moving vehicle during speed limit law enforcement. The LiDAR detection devices used today are very reliable and functional. However, some of the models used are no longer being supported, and there is now a need to enter in to a framework agreement with one supplier that covers the Danish police districts demand for new LiDAR detection devices.
Rigspolitiet (i.e. the Danish National Police), who will conduct the tender, anticipates that the framework agreement will include the following products and services:
- Compact, handheld and/or tripod operated LiDAR speed detection devices.
- Support and Training of Police Technicians, which qualifies them to ensure the ongoing accuracy and reliability of the LiDAR detection device.
- Education of police officers.
- Repairs and supplier maintenance of the speed detection device.
