purchase of services for treatment of hazardous waste in accordance with the Waste Regulations chapter 11. The assignment concerns treatment of different types of hazardous waste and waste which cannot be handled together with regular household and trade waste due to chemical, physical and/or biological properties. Types of waste included in this agreement in accordance with the price form.
Ålesund municipality is the Contracting Authority in this competition, and Ålesund municipality organisation VAR - Bingsa Næring is the executor (hereafter referred to as the Customer).
The procurement concerns treatment of hazardous waste at one or more treatment facilities, but it is possible for the Supplier to offer an option for collection and transport of the hazardous waste at Bingsa Recycling Centre in Ålesund. It is also desirable for the Supplier to offer an option for packaging and training, courses and updating collections.
The purpose of the procurement is to ensure that hazardous waste is handled in such a manner that it does not cause pollution or harm for people or animals, or danger of this, and to contribute to an appropriate and sound system for handling of hazardous waste, cf. Waste Regulations chapter 11.
It is Recycling centres where ÅRIM [Ålesund Region's Inter-municipal Environmental Company] is responsible that hazardous waste is accepted. The hazardous waste is collected by, sorted and interim stored at Ålesund municipality organisation VAR - Bingsa Næring in accordance with explicitly stated procedures, nevertheless, incorrect sorting and deviations must be anticipated. Handling of incorrectly sorted waste must be anticipated without economic consequences for the Customer.
Everything collected as hazardous waste shall be treated at an approved treatment facility for waste or hazardous waste.
It is emphasised that the hazardous waste, pursuant to this Agreement, shall be sent to a final
treatment facility and not a receiving facility/disposal site. The Supplier shall consequently offer final treatment of the hazardous waste at one/more treatment facilities in accordance with requirements.
The assignment includes:
— hazardous waste collected from households (after sorting), types of waste in accordance with the price form,
— hazardous waste from manned recycling centres (after sorting), types of waste in accordance with the price form,
— hazardous waste from small businesses (after sorting), types of waste in accordance with the price form.
