The Institute of Marine Research (HI) intends to procure a mobile cable reel winder to serve our vessels with on and off winding of wire and signal cables. On our vessels we use a number of different wire ropes (6-30 mm) and signal cables (6-20 mm). These are often replaced with new ones or taken onto land to make room for other types of wire ropes/cables on board. For this winding we need a mobile cable reel winder that can deal with the different types of drums on which new wire ropes and signal cables are delivered or stored when coiled.
