The purpose of the procurement is to ensure the Norwegian Public Road Administration's (NPRA) specialized expertise in Bull mainframe environment with a GCOS8 operating system and to ensure prudent management of Autosys Bull solution through 2017.Possession of this expertise is of critical importance.
A contract will be signed with Ranum EDB AS for hiring consultant resources with the following required skills:work with the BULL Autosys motor vehicle registry.
The new hire must be competent in both batch and on-line (TPR) programming, and rapid trouble-shooting is a requirement.
Responsibilities for consultants:
Operation and maintenance of Autosys, which is the central motor vehicle register, and participate in the work of developing a new Autosys.
Autosys operates today in a Bull mainframe environment that utilizes a GCOS8 operating system.The new consultants will be responsible for application development/management and various operational tasks.
Qualification requirements:
— Knowledge and experience in application development on Bull / GCOS8 platform, on which Autosys is currently run, in all these areas:
— IDS-II network database (CODASYL), COBOL-74 Batch programming with JCL, COBOL-74 TPR (on-line programming) with Format screen handling.
Extensive experience with Format is highly emphasized.
— Working languages: Norwegian, as the code and and documentation is in Norwegian.
The consultants must also have extensive experience in the following areas:
— GCOS8 COBOL Workbench.
— Experience with programming scripting language TEX in TSS.
— Experience creating scripts in Glink.
— Experience in Windows programming.
— Must be able to take responsibility for the maintenance of the GWEB interface in Autosys.
— Good knowledge of Norwegian law and practice concerning motor vehicles.
The tender from Ranum EDB AS has been assessed.The tendered consulting resources from Ranum EDB AS meet all the qualifications.
NPRA intends to enter into an agreement for consulting services with Ranum EDB AS lasting until 1.7.2017.
