Norsk Tipping intends to buy 600 gaming terminals from Aristocrat.Norsk Tipping intends carrying out a direct procurement (a competition with negotiations without a prior announcement); seePart III § 14-4.
This is an additional delivery (seePart III § 14-4. letter f).The additional delivery is an expansion of the delivery and installation that has already taken place.The assignment was carried out by Aristocrat.
In relation to exclusionary provisions. an assessment has been made and requisite documentation obtained.
Norsk Tipping believes that the following arguments support the exclusionary provision:
Truserv™ is a proprietary system whose safety is based on GEN 7 technology from Aristocrat.This means that the terminal and central system are closely connected,i.e.it is only Aristocrat that currently supplies Truserv™ installations with Gen 7 technology.This is Aristocrat's secure way of connecting up terminals to Norsk Tipping's central system.
Norsk Tipping will replace all the gaming terminals in its portfolio at a later date, but only after a new tender.
