The work consists of construction a 1 565 meter class A tunnel and 330 meter road at Bjørnabakkane, 550 meter road at Lindeskreda, one catching dam and one deflection dam. Avalanche hazards in the winter mean that the works must be carried out primarily June to December. Approximately half the tunnel will be built with T5.5 profile and the second half with T8.5 profile.
The main quantities are:
108 000 m³ blasting in tunnel.
23 000 m³ blasting in the open.
53.000 m³ filling with downward blasting in Veitastrondsvatnet.
115.000 m³ filling in avalanche dams.
3 850 m² plastering in water.
