Short description
ECHA secretariat needs flexible support to address emerging regulatory challenges related to the (eco)toxicological assessments of substances. Within the changing regulatory landscape, new hazard properties need to be addressed (e.g. neurotoxicity, immunotoxicity, endocrine disruption) which require specific scientific and technical expertise in order to assess and identify these specific adverse properties. New and emerging methodologies (preferably without using animal testing) need to be assessed, developed or finetuned, allowing decision making within the framework of REACH and CLP. These new framework contracts will help the Agency to address these emerging scientific challenges, while at the same time provide support to ongoing or new regulatory processes that ECHA is executing.
