The Natural History Museum of Denmark (‘the NHMD’) has conducted a public procurement procedure for a contract regarding a (new) Principal Designer for the new Museum Galleries at Natural History Museum of Denmark, located in Copenhagen.
The new museum galleries will include i) a gallery in an ellipsoid dome (the ‘Ocean Hall’) and ii) two underground levels of galleries (the ‘Underground Galleries’).
Design of the exhibitions for the Underground Galleries was initiated in 2019 by the NHMD’s current Principal Designer, Tinker Imagineers (“Tinker”). Tinker and the NHMD has agreed that Tinker will exit the project when the Developed Design for the Underground Galleries is completed by April 2023, thus creating the need for the NHMD to have a new Principal Designer to take over.
Design of the exhibitions for the Ocean Hall gallery has not yet commenced.
