The product is intended for the Center for Stem Cell-based Disease Modelling and Drug Screening (Stem Screen). The Center includes two Danish biotech firms – Bioneer A/S and Synklino A/S – Novo Nordisk Foundation Center for Stem Cell Medicine, reNEW, the Department of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Department of Drug Design and Pharmacology and Department of Cellular and Molecular Medicine at the University of Copenhagen. Using knowledge of how tissue form and are maintained, as well as how this can be recapitulated in vitro based on stem cell models, the overall aim of the center is to developed new stem cell-based therapeutic approaches. In Stem Screen we will establish the first Danish academic-industrial partnership around stem cell-based disease modeling and drug screening with strong international links.
