Short description
The Danish Defence Acquisition and Logistics Organisation (DALO) is looking for information on how to structure a possible future tender in connection with the acquisition of dressings, gauzes and bandages for the Danish Defence. Due to this DALO has decided to initiate a technical dialogue with the market. The purpose of this technical dialogue is to obtain information about the possibilities and restrictions on the market.
-
The products included in this survey are used by the Danish Defence as first aid in the field to stop hemorrhagic and bandage wounds, and for other medical training of combat units. Field dressings and compressed gauzes are for immediate use in case of wounds and are often used under extreme weather conditions and in dangerous terrain. The items are a part of the first aid kit and need to fit into the Individual First Aid Kit (IFAK) pouch. Therefore DALO has specific requirements concerning the size of the (packed) products.
Following products are included in the survey:
•Field dressings
•Finger tube bandages
•Compressed Z-fold gauzes
•Non-woven compresses
•Triangular bandages
•Fixation bandages

As part of the preparation for the possible future tender, DALO would like to request information regarding some specific topics from potential bidders of gauzes, dressings and bandages-
DALO would like to primarily gain information regarding which products are on the market. The purpose of this request is to understand how the best possible tender can be arranged both for DALO and the suppliers according to the EC regulation. DALO would ask potential bidders to review and answer the questions contained in the Request for Information (RFI) response sheet available at the address in Section I.3). To gain acces to the document suppliers are requested to sign up on Ethics Sourcing Services which is free of charge.

DALO would like to emphasize that participation in this RFI will not influence your participation in a possible future tender. We ask you to respond in writing. DALO reserves the right to contact specific respondees inregard to further explanation of the answers given, and/or obtaining more information on the basis of the answers.
When you have filled out the answering sheet please upload it to ETHICS. We ask that you upload us your response no later than 20th of February 2023.
