Skyss has prepared a draft of the tender documentation for the operation of the boat routes between Bergen, Nordfjord and Sogn/Flåm. Skyss aims to announce a contest by the end of March 2023. Before the contest is announced, Skyss would like feedback from operators, shipyards, and sub-suppliers on the proposals included in Skyss' draft.
Skyss has held two market dialogues in autumn 2022 (in August/September on the technical solutions for cutting emissions, and in October on the frameworks for flexibility in the scheduled timetable), obtained cost estimates from network companies, and had a dialogue with landowners, planning authorities, and port authorities. Skyss has prepared this draft of the tender documentation on the basis of the feedback and clarifications. The proposals for solutions and requirements included in the tender documentation are summarised in a matter that will be discussed in the Main Committee for Transport and Mobility on 17 January 2023 and the County Executive Committee on 9 February 2023. In other words, some of the elements in the tender documentation have not yet been discussed politically, and the tender documentation can be amended based on the outcome of this political process.
