The first stage of E18 Vestkorridoren [the E18 West Corridor] project shall be constructed between Lysaker and Ramdstadsletta in Bærum Municipality. The Norwegian Public Roads Administration invites contractors and consultants to a digital market meeting about the pending contract, the E105 Gjønnes tunnel on the stretch E18 Lysaker – Ramstadsletta. The Gjønnes Tunnel is a new connection between Gjønnes and E18 at Strand with a further connection to Fornebu. The tunnel is a two-course tunnel with cross-section T9.5. Contract E105 includes the construction of approx. 1,500 m of the total of approx. 1,950 long tunnel. The remaining approx. 450 m shall be executed in a adjoining contract. The section border is just north of the Høvik tunnel. The tunnel shall be constructed in a new crossing area at Gjønnes with a connection to the Bærum road. The area around Gjønnes is very busy, with a nearby underground station, sports hall, housing estates, schools and with the Bærum road running through the construction area.
