NATO has decided to place the NATO DIANA center for quantum technologies in Denmark. The center will be anchored at the Niels Bohr Institute, University of Copenhagen. A vital part of the NATO DIANA center in Denmark is an accelerator facility for quantum start-ups from NATO member states.
The accelerator will provide business and scientific coaching for the participating start-ups. The accelerator will also arrange access to quantum technology test and fabrication facilities for the participating companies.
The Niels Bohr Institute, NBI, is the physics institute at the University of Copenhagen. Since its start in 1921, NBI has played a central role in the development of quantum mechanics. Today the institute has approx. 500 employees, 150 Ph.D. students and 700 students. NBI is recognized globally for its leading research in quantum physics.
