Evida is the Danish gas distribution system operator (DSO), responsible for operation and maintenance of the 18,000 km Danish gas distribution network, which forms part of Denmark’s critical infrastructure. At Evida, we operate, own, monitor, maintain and expand the gas distribution network in Denmark, so that we can provide constant and high security of supply to our approximately 400,000 gas distribution customers.

Evida is owned by the Ministry of Finance and was formed on 1 October 2019 and is a merger of Dansk Gas Distribution and HMN GasNet.

Evida works purposefully to exploit Denmark’s great potential for green gas by connecting biogas plants so that the Danish gas becomes CO2 neutral. An important aspect of the company’s business is thus to support the green transition.

At Evida, more than 445 employees are spread over fours locations in Denmark, which ensures that Evida fulfills its role as part of the critical infrastructure in Denmark in a safe and efficient manner.
