The advance notice includes a request for interested parties to send their contact details by 10 of October 2022 at the latest to
kimmo.vuorela@vr.fi using the subject “ETCS fitment for rolling stock”. According to a preliminary estimate, parties who submitted their contact details will be given the opportunity to present their organisation and product at a meeting (online) with VR Group Plc during week 45 - 48. VR Group Plc will send meeting invitations to the interested parties.
The European Train Control System (ETCS) is the signalling and control component of the European Rail Traffic Management System (ERTMS). The procurement may include but is not limited to the hardware, configuration, installation, testing, commissioning, documentation, maintenance and support for the system version. The system will be acquired as an on-site service and installed in by a service provider. The procurement consists of functional and technical specifications, application development, system configuration, testing, documentation in Finnish, commissioning support in Finnish and application support. The procurement covers system version upgrades and version upgrade planning, maintenance, application support and operational support for the application.
