Veas Selvkost AS intends to change a central industrial cleaning process for cleaning ammonium via ammoniac in our value streams. The process occurs by a combined stripping and absorption process, where acid absorbs ammoniac and forms a liquid ammonium salt. We intend to replace the nitric acid (HNO3) with concentrated sulphuric acid (H2SO4). We would, thus, like to give possible suppliers the opportunity to prepare for a contest and provide input for the contest. The expected need for concentrated sulphuric acid (approx. 96%) will be 1500-1800 tonnes a year, evenly distributed throughout the year. A storage tank of 50 m3 for sulphuric acid has been place in Veas' rock installation. In view of the planned progress in the process, we recommend interested suppliers provide their input by 01.03.22.
