The Defence Forces Logistics Command (later referred to as Contracting Entity) requests a participation application for Explosive Cutters (räjähdysleikkuri in Finnish) for sweeping of moored naval contact mines with mechanical minesweeping gear in accordance with this participation application request.
Items to be quoted will be Explosive Cutter (EC) including explosives as well as explosive samples for reference and ageing tests.
Critical requirements of Explosive Cutters:
- Explosive Cutter shall be mechanical
- Explosive Cutter shall not include any electrical interfaces or batteries
- Explosive Cutter shall be operable with mechanical sweep gear, not with remotely operated vehicle (ROV)
- Explosive Cutter shall fulfill Finnish Safety and Suitability for Service (S3) authority requirements.
Initial timetable for the procurement:
- RFQ out December 2021
- Quotations and negotiations Q1 and Q2 2022
- Procurement decision 2022
- Contract signature 2023
- Deliveries 2023-2026
At least three candidates will be invited to participate unless there are less suitable candidates.
Only candidates that have submitted their participation application request and meet the set criteria will receive the RFQ and be accepted to the negotiation process.
