Short description
Sporveien has decided to initiate preventive rail grinding and intends to purchase a trailer with light grinding equipment for use on the Oslo metro network. The purpose of planned preventive rail grinding is to:
-reduce problems due to corrugation and noise, rail wear, and required re-profiling
-increase rail lifetime
-improve adhesion wheel/rail
-reduce operational problems/delays due to slippery track, number of wheel slides, and wheel wear
-increase wheel lifetime
The trailer shall be hauled/pushed by an existing Robel (Robel 5417 or RoRunner 613), and shall comply with Sporveien’s Technical Regulations, EN14033 and other relevant standards. It shall be approved by the Norwegian approval authority SJT. The RFP will include options for:
maintenance, spare parts, measurement sensors for important track parameters, system for recording and storage of measured track data, SW for evaluation of measured and recorded track data, and warranty and support
