Norges teknisk-naturvitenskapelige universitet (NTNU) (the Norwegian University of Science and Technology), Universitetet i Oslo (UiO [Oslo Univerisyt]), Universitetet i Tromsø — Norges arktiske universitet (UiT) (University of Tromsø — The Arctic University of Norway) and Universitetet i Bergen (UiB) (Bergen University) collaborate on many fields both professionally and administratively. The administrative collaboration is called BOTT (after Bergen, Oslo, Trondheim and Tromsø), and the purpose is to strengthen the participating organisations’ ability to deliver administrative and technical services that support the organisation's primary activity. The Ministry of Education and Research has clear expectations that the university and university college sector should be digitized and made more efficient. At the same time, they expect higher productivity and have requirements on quality. We must therefore utilise the opportunities offered by the technology. The BOTT collaboration includes the following projects:
• BOTT case management and archive (BOTT-SA);
• BOTT Finance and Payroll (BOTT-ØL);
• BOTT access control (Currently managed by UNIT/Uninett);
• BOTT HR.
