Sporveien's entities (scheduled buses, trams, and underground trains) are, and will be to a greater degree, responsible for the continual transfer of agreed data elements to transport contracting authorities (e.g. Ruter) from vehicles in operation. In addition, options are also being considered for streaming from video surveillance cameras on board vehicles, offering a guest network on selected routes, and the use of digital services on hand held units for drivers. Automation, monitoring and remote control of equipment, functions and buildings related to operations and infrastructure will also be researched more in the coming years. In order to cover this need, framework agreements will be signed within 4 service areas for the use of standard (UICC) SIM cards and eUICC based SIM cards with both one and two tenderers with separate radio networks, c.f. the tender documentation at
