Short description
The background for this enquiry is that Viken County and the Norwegian Public Roads Administration, in cooperation with an operations contractor, would like to find out how new data sources can be used to register vehicle conditions on the road network in real time.
This is a Request for information (RFI) with the aim being to identify possible solutions and come into contact with suppliers that can offer vehicle data, and with their insight, give us information that will make the future tender documentation better and more balanced.
The background for this enquiry is that Viken County and the Norwegian Public Roads Administration, in cooperation with an operations contractor, would like to find out how new data sources can be used to register vehicle conditions on the road network in real time. We would like to obtain information on vehicle conditions in the winter, as well as how the use of vehicle data can be used to map the road surface's condition. This will be a supplement to the existing routines for friction measurements and condition registrations of groves and evenness.
We would like to examine the possibility of obtaining data from a geographical area. A possible area for implementation is the axis Drammen - Kongsberg, which has a mixture of county and national roads.
This is a cooperation between the Norwegian Public Roads Administration and Viken County.
