In September 2018, Norsk Tipping AS signed a contract with Sysco AS concerning delivery of a database platform after a previous contest with negotiations. The duration of the contract is four years, with an option for Norsk Tipping to extend the contract for an additional 1 year. As a result of this comprehensive problem, Oracle has offered clients (with Gen1 ExaC@C) an upgrade to Gen2 ExaC@C. This is the latest version of servers in an early renewal program. The tender is conditional on the client terminating the current contract and signing a new contract with Sysco that as a certified Oracle partner has delivered Oracle Gen1 ExaC@C to Norsk Tipping. The existing database platform server (Oracle Gen1 ExaC@C) has in the meantime had major challenges since it was delivered. There have also been significant problems for other clients in the world who have had this version installed. Norsk Tipping wants to use this prior information notice to become aware of the market and we intent to sign a contract for the delivery of Gen2 ExaC@C from Sysco — see the Annex.
