Electromagnetic transmitter for deep geophysical measurements

Short description

GTK will buy an electromagnetic transmitter for Controlled Source Audio Magnetotelluric (abbrev CSAMT), Controlled Source Electromagnetic (abbrev CSEM) in Time Domain (abbrev. TDEM) and Frequency Domain (abbrev. FDEM) geophysical measurements.

The equipment should consist of:
-1 Electromagnetic transmitter
-all additional equipment needed to carry out the signal transmission for measurement types (CSAMT, CSEM (TDEM, FDEM))
o any parts to operate the transformer, e.g. transmitter control unit, or equivalent and any other parts needed.
o cables allowing for a 1x1 km square loop, 2 x 2 km long current dipoles, electrodes
o A motor generator is not part of the acquisition.

The transmitter should allow for flexible current waveforms, adjustment of output power / voltage / current, and must work with loop and grounded dipole sources likewise. The transmitter must be capable of power output of at least 20 kW, amplitude of current output of at least 40 A, and amplitude of voltage output of at least 1000 V. The possible frequency band for CSAMT / CSEM (FDEM) should be 0.01 Hz – 8000 Hz base frequency or wider.

For TDEM using a large current loop for transmission, a short current shut-off should be possible.

All parts of the transmitter must be portable in a single van.

Moreover, operation of the transmitter should be possible with a non-specialized motor generator.

The components should have rugged design.

Software (including license) to operate the instruments as well as manual(s) for full operation of the system should be included in the offer

The tenderer must take full responsibility for the full functionality of the delivered instruments.
