Ullensaker Municipality has started work on building a completely new modern operational platform based on cloud services. The new virtual computer centre must be established by 30 June 2021.
The municipality's ICT strategy primarily involves procuring software as a service, but recognises that it is currently not possible to procure all the core systems in this way. The municipality's platform must therefore also be able to handle a selection of legacy applications within each sector. This will be done by using infrastructure as a service (Iaas). The chosen platform is Microsoft Azure, with associated services. During the planning it has become apparent that almost immediately after the contract was signed with a supplier the municipality needs a selection of Citrix licences, as well as assistance with planning future Microsoft licences. The majority of the volume will be on Microsoft, but the municipality needs Citrix and Adobe, in addition to the option to procure other licences if required.
