A decision has been made that the National Travel Habit Survey (RVU) is to continue as a continual travel habit survey for a new period. The national RVU will, as in previous years, be carried out as a collaboration project between the Ministry of Transport (
www.regjeringen.no/sd), the Norwegian Public Roads Administration (
www.vegvesen.no), the Directorate of Railways (
www.Jernbanedirektoratet.no), the Coastal Administration Authority (
www.kystverket.no), Avinor (
www.avinor.no) and Nye veier AS (
www.nyeveier.no).
Travel habit surveys that follow-up various indicators connected to the existing town growth agreements, so-called town-RVUs will also be carried out as part of the continual travel habit surveys. The organisation and financing of the town-RVUs are regulated by the contract parties in the existing town growth agreements, but the procurement is for the entire national RVU.
