The game industry in Finland has a shortage of skilled personnel. There are not enough of these experts in Finland, so in order to enable the growth of Finnish gaming companies, it is necessary to find more gaming experts outside of Finland.

The aim is to identify top-level foreign gaming experts willing to work for Finnish gaming companies and international gaming companies interested in relocating to Finland.

The procurement is a part of Talent Boost measures. Companies seeking international growth need the best talent to succeed in the international markets. Often this means that the desired talent comes from abroad. Talent Boost provides companies with networks to find international talents as well as a financial incentive to hire the first international talent. The gaming industry is one of the identified target area (an area with labor shortages).

The maximum yearly budget is 60 000 € (excluding VAT).

The partner must have good networks in the Finnish gaming companies and know the best international talents and where to find them. The partner must have proven success in recruiting international gaming talents (recruiting from target countries in Eastern Europe, Russia, etc.) to Finnish companies. In addition to attracting foreign talents, the partner must be able to meet with domestic gaming companies, assist them in hiring a foreign person, and advise them on how to do this process as smoothly as possible.

The partner should be able to comprehensively organize recruitment events at least: in Russia, Ukraine and Eastern European countries.

Multi-person team can be provided as a resource. Team size must be at least 3 people.

The partner must communicate the results of the recruitment process(es) to Business Finland on a regular and agreed basis. After each recruitment event, the partner must submit a comprehensive report of the results to Business Finland.

The chosen partner must work well with Business Finland, cities of Finland, gaming companies and various gaming organizations & stakeholders.

Work requires traveling at home and abroad.

The target is that at least 100 pre-screened international game developer talents will be interviewed by Finnish game companies and minimum 20 of them will be recruited to the Finnish game industry in one year.

The partner must be familiar with the recruitment requirements of the industry, which combines software and coding expertise with graphic design and design, as well as the specialization in the commercialization and business of games. The partner should also be familiar with the local services provided by the cities to support the gaming professionals and their families moving to Finland.

The target is 5 new international games sector startups or relocation of gaming teams in Finland

The partner must have experience in work and residence permit practices & processes.

The partner works in their own premises. Work requires traveling and organizing events abroad.
