Longyear energiverk [Longyear power plant] now wants to install a battery store to increase operational reliability and reduce the environmental emissions at the power plant.
The expectations and objective of a battery park are as follows:
— able to supply the reserve capacity to the network,
— strengthen the security of supply and increase the power quality of the network,
— reduce the load on the existing steam turbines and even out the production profile for the power plant,
— reduce the diesel consumption connected to power production,
— emergency power supply for the thermal power plant.
English is the working language for the project. Implementation of the project requires that the project secures project financing.
