Motorized optical microscope

Short description

The Department fabricate and analyze micro- and nanodevices in a Class 100 cleanroom environment.

A variety of techniques are utilized to characterize the produced devices, at different stages of

fabrication. One important technique for such analysis is using an optical microscope. In order to

improve efficiency and reproducibility, the department aim to buy an upright optical microscope with

motorized X, Y and Z movement and autofocus capability that can automatically capture a large

number of images. It must feature a high-performance camera, increasing our capabilities of acquiring

high-quality images. The microscope will be placed in the cleanroom in a multi-user environment. While

the microscope will be multi-purposed, certain important applications may, upon request by Chalmers,

be tested during the tender evaluation as described in this RFT.
