Short description
As the overall authority, the Norwegian Environment Agency is responsible for ensuring that safety signs are set up in protected areas. The safety signs shall inform visitors that they are entering or located in a protected area and what form of protection applies. The signs will be set up where they are easily visibly, most often at trails and roads where the visitors pass the border to the area. They can also be placed other places, for e.g. Easily visible on the islets and islands and on beaches where people arrive by boat.
