Short description
Voldsløkka School is a U8 school with flexible space for possibly two reception classes per year-level. The school facility will also have a culture station and an arts hall that will function as a temporary gym area.
In accordance with the order from the Department of Education, the school must have the flexibility to convert to a B2U4 school. The project includes the erection of a new building (plus house) along Uelands gate [Uelands street] and total rehabilitation of the Heidenreich building as well as landscape works. Demolition of an existing buildings along Uelands gate can be expected, but at this time has not been determined.
The new construction at Voldsløkka school is planned as a plus house according to Futurebuilt's plus house definition (2014). In total, the school will be able to accommodate approx. 810 students, 75 teachers and 12 workplaces for the administration. The total area is approx. 13 985 m
