Tunnels and open air installations in the East Region are controlled and monitored from the Road Traffic Centre (VTS) in Oslo. Traffic in tunnels and open air installations is regulated by signal plans when necessary.
Personnel must have traffic competence and in-depth knowledge of traffic management and how traffic shall be regulated. The personnel are expected to have in-depth knowledge of tunnels and road installations in the East Region.
The following are examples of plans that shall be established, prepared and maintained by the tenderer:
Signal plan work etc.
— Local signal plans (one set with simple control commands defined for 1 section).
— General signal plans (chains of local signal plans).
— Crossing plans.
— Blockages.
— Emergency closure plans (fire plans).
— Variable signal plans.
