In 2017 Bane NOR (Jernbaneverket) shall start constructing a new snow shelter at Haugfjell.
This contract is for the demolition and removal of the existing snow shelter and the construction of a new one.
The shelter is located just east of Haugfjell, approx. km 37.1 — 37.4. The existing shelter has a wooden supporting construction that is covered in wood and steel roofing sheets. The shelter is approx. 320 m long.
