The State Trading Centre on behalf of the Purchaser invites tenders for a Tray Return System.
For use at airport security checkpoint on FLE at Keflavík International Airport, Iceland.
Tray return system, a modular component system, composed by a group of conveyor belts and mechanism that feed the X-Ray Scanner, must be suitable as an automatic security check system for hand baggage before entering the restricted access zone at FLE, as further specified in this Invitation to Tender.
The purpose of the information provided in this Invitation to Tender is to set out the criteria that governs the selection of any successful tender. It should give the Tenderer a clear and informative idea of what the Purchaser is requesting regarding the system and thus increase the likelihood of a successful contract for both the Purchaser and the prospective Seller.
In this tender the Purchaser is looking for the most economically advantageous tender that fulfils all necessary criteria.
Six (6) Tray Return Systems are expected to be delivered according to a purchase contract.
The efficiency of each security checkpoint shall be approximately 230-250 passengers/hour. The same kind of equipment shall be in operation on similar airports within Schengen area and shall be CE certificated.
The final contract notice is expected on 4th quarter 2014.
