Suomen itsenäisyyden juhlarahasto Sitra (The Finnish Innovation Fund Sitra, later referred as Sitra) requests tenders for an analysis for a three-pronged approach to evaluate biodiversity risks and impacts for an investment portfolio of listed companies. We would be interested in a stock market index that is relevant for Finnish investors, such as OMX Helsinki 25 or EURO STOXX 50 largest companies. As part of the tender, you are welcome to suggest an alternative stock market index, which would notwithstanding be pertinent to many investors, asset managers and pension funds in Finland.

The assignment consists of following parts:
I A summary of relevant developments in the global investor landscape relating to biodiversity
II Physical risks from biodiversity loss
III Companies’ impacts on biodiversity
IV Other risks (e.g., reputational and litigation risks)

The analysis results should be presented in Word format report (max. 50 pages plus appendices) and in a PowerPoint presentation.

Timeline of work: September-November 2021, initial results (parts I & II) to Sitra team in mid-October, final release (parts I-IV) end of November.

The total price is fixed at EUR 120 000 (excluding VAT, inclusive of all costs). Contact award decision is based only on qualitative cirteria defined in this call for tenders and its appendices.
