Lyhyt kuvaus
The aim of the survey is to use the classification system under the water regulations to determine the ecological condition in a selection of the largest Norwegian lakes. Point by point overview of the programme's prioritised goals:
1) Determine the ecological condition and ecological freshwater development in a selection of the largest Norwegian lakes.
2) Strengthen the data basis for determining reference values for the different quality elements in large lakes.
3) Adapt and test methodology and new technology for monitoring and classification for use in large lakes.
4) Contribute to meeting Norway's reporting obligations under the Water Directive.
5) Obtain knowledge on the effects of climate changes and other long term changes on large lakes.
6) Increase knowledge on the ecological condition i large lakes in Norway.
